Who all feature in this weeks prediction. However that has left the fifa coins door open for the likes of Hummels, Lahm, ADM and Hernandez. A very weak week in terms of performances.
Timo Horn – GK – 79 OVR
Let’s start off with the Bundesliga selections now and as a heads up there are a lot of them. Horn made a total of 6 saves, including a penalty save in Koln’s 1-1 away draw with Bremen. He picked up a 1.5 from Kicker and is easily the best gold keeper option this week.
Philipp Lahm – RB – 87 OVR
Defenders and big names were hard to come by this week however so I would be very surprised not to see Lahm’s inclusion to week 14 after scoring the second of two Munich goals in their 2-0 win at home to Ingolstadt. The position change makes him the highest rated RB in the game, at least until TOTY anyway.
Mateo Musacchio – CB – 81 OVR
Villarreal picked up an impressive three points at home to Real Madrid and when a side manages that they often receive an IF, especially when it’s the CB who claims MOTM. That was the case in this one after Musacchio claimed the headlines for his impressive display at the back.
Mats Hummels – CB – 86 OVR
Hummels is a bit of a punt but with him being one of the select few big names that did anything note worthy it could be enough to see him slip in. He made Kickers team of the week after scoring one of Dortmands 4-1 home win against Frankfurt.
Eric Bauthéac – LM – 75 OVR
For some reason I was unable to find L’equipe’s team this week so I have took an educated guess with the Ligue 1 selections on this occasion. Bautheac scored twice for Lille in a 3-0 home win against Lorient. Sidibe grabbed the other which also makes him a candidate but with the lack of midfield options I can see EA opting for Bautheac.
Jordan Henderson – CM – 79 OVR
The premier league was the definition of dull this week and arguably no one actually deserves to make the side however we all know that there will be at least two involved and thus there were some decisions to be made in who to include. Henderson is the first after he grabbed both a goal and an assist in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with WBA.
Yohan Cabaye – CDM – 79 OVR
Cabaye scored the only goal of the game in Palace’s 1-0 win at home to Southampton. A bit of a punt however a lot of sites only had good things to say about the the Frenchman.
ángel Di María – RM – 86 OVR
I am going to take a punt on this one with ADM being involved in the TOTGS it could rule him out but seeing as he was not in an actual TOTW he could still make the side. There is no doubt about him deserving it or not after grabbing three assists for the French champions but it’s if EA class it as back to back IF’s or not.
Javier Hernández – ST – 80 OVR
Hernandez continued his impressive run of form this week making it 9 goals from his last 7 matches after scoring three for Leverkusen in their 5-0 demolition of Gladbach. I may have given false hope a few weeks ago but this time I can almost guarantee you he will be included.
Stefan Kie?ling – ST – 80 OVR
Hernandez was not the only player to put in a good shift though with Kie?ling scoring twice and assisting another two in the said 5-0 win. Kie?ling actually claimed the MOTM award from the match but I would be very surprised if either of these two players missed out
Mauro Icardi – ST – 79 OVR
Inter took a 4 point lead at the top of Serie A after managing an impressive 4-0 away win against Udinense. Icardi should be picking up the IF after scoring two of those four goals however it is also worth mentioning Handanovic who had a good performance making a total of seven saves.
Charles Itandje – GK – 70 OVR
Itandje made a massive 14, yes 14 saves to keep a clean sheet in Rizespor’s 3-0 home win against Trabzonspor. If you thought that this couldn’t get more impressive you thought wrong as Itandje also saved a penalty. Arguably the best performance his week.
Luca Rossettini – RB – 75 OVR
It was looking like a bore draw between Genoa and Bologna until Rossettini popped up in the 92nd minute of the game to score the winner. With the lack of silver/bronze options I could easily see all the defenders being gold for this one.
Junior Stanislas – LM – 66 OVR
Bournemouth can feel hard done by for not picking up an IF last week but after another impressive win surely they must this time around. Stanislas picked up MOTM after scoring the opener directly from a corner. I don’t know how he managed it.
Aaron Mooy – CM – 70 OVR
It has been a while since the Australian league picked up an IF but Mooy has been knocking on the door for a while now and should finally get the IF he deserves after scoring twice and assisting another in Melbourne’s 4-0 away win against Newcastle Jets.
Famara Diedhiou – ST – 63 OVR
Diedhiou grabbed himself a hat trick this week and although two of the goals were from the penalty spot he was one of only three hat tricks this week. This should result in his spot being cemented in the side.
Massimo Maccarone – ST – 73 OVR
Empoli picked up their third straight victory with a comfortable 3-0 win a home to Carpi this week. The Italian veteran Maccarone was the main man after he was involved in all three of the goals scoring two himself and assisting the other. He picked up a 7.5 from Gazzetta which was the joint highest score of the week.
Omar Al Soma – ST – 75 OVR
Just like Diedhiou Al Soma found the back of the net of three occasions, two of which were penalties. On a week with loads of hat tricks these type of players can often be overlooked but with only a handful of potential players they should be among the first in the side.
Allan-Roméo Nyom – RB – 77 OVR
I doubt that many expected Watford to be sitting in 7th position after 16 games but that is the case after yet another win to make it three on the bounce. Nyom assisted Ighalo for the sole goal of the game as they won 1-0 away at the black cats.
André Almeida – RB – 76 OVR
Almeida assisted the first two Benfica goals as they made it five consecutive wins with a 4-2 away win against Setubal. There were a lot of gold defenders which put in great performances however so if he misses out there can’t be too many arguments.
Hakim Ziyech – CM – 77 OVR
Being completely honest I really struggled with the midfielders this week and especially with the gold reserve one and thus Ziyech gets in after being the best of a bad bunch with a goal and an assist in Twente’s 2-1 home win against Graffschap.
Vedad Ibi?evi? – ST – 75 OVR
Ibisevic makes it six Bundesliga players which could be a push however I just couldn’t leave any of them out. The Berlin striker scored twice and assisted another during their 4-0 away win against Darmstadt.
Usually a goal and an assist for a striker would be nowhere near my fifa 16 points side however for this one I think an exception can be made.
